Spanish Needle

The Spanish Needle (also called Shepard’s Needles, Beggarticks, or Butterfly Needles) is a lovely little wildflower that grow near my home. It’s native to the tropical and subtropical regions of North America, Asia, South America, and Africa. It’s considered a weed by many Spanish Needles provide an important source of nectar for butterflies and bees.
